This segment of society isn't the programmers and inventors who actually add value in computing. They aren't the inventors of new ideas and languages who may be destructive and misguided (another long story) but are trying to contribute something.

     The segment of society I'm referring to here are those who sink their teeth into the computer community who will continue to pay in their quest for reliable machines that will never exist. I believe they (like the big software consulting firms) know exactly what harm they're doing.
