Manhattan Island in New York City, at least a few decades ago, had the most aggressive and skilled drivers in the United States. (I've driven in almost all of them myself.)
The most noteworthy aspect of Manhattan driving
is that drivers seldom got themselves into a jam.
Sometimes there were so many cars and so little roadway
that a traffic jam was unavoidable.
But most drivers didn't pull into a space
until they saw a way out of it.
